Welcome to the city of Grande Prairie which is located in the Northern part of Alberta in the heart of Peace Region. It is approximately 456km from Edmonton and is the seventh largest city in Alberta. Grande Prairie is also known as “Swan City”, as we are nestled in a major breeding area for Trumpeter Swans and is one of Canada’s rapidly flourishing industries.

The city also offers a skate park, campgrounds, Culture Information Centre, Centre 2000, Grande Prairie Museum, the Dog Park & Bear Creek Raceway. It recently opened the Eastlink Centre which provides a mix of aquatic and field sports.
It has many activities such as a cooking classroom, running track, field house, squash/racquetball courts, jungle play place, holds events such has birthday parties & so much more. A place for the family to spend hours of quality time. As for all you hockey fans, the Crystal Centre is home to the popular Grande Prairie Storms. Not only are all the Storms games there, they offer family skates, hold concerts, graduations, plays & other various events.
The Crystal Centre is proud to partner up with the RCMP as they train their police dogs from puppy to full grown.
In the winter months the place to hit is Nitehawk Ski Hill which provided a Luge track, mountain bike park, convention Facility and holds international competitions.
As for the summer months Grande Prairie offers beautiful golf courses such as Bear Creek Golf Course, The Dunes & The Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club. These golf courses offer memberships/camps for all ages and lovely landscaped course with mature trees, immaculate greens & polished fairways. Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club holds regional, provincial & national golf events. This year Re/Max teamed up with the golf course and held the 2013 World Long Drive Qualifier and will rejoin for 2014.
